AGPA is “the foremost professional association dedicated to the field of group psychotherapy…with 26 local and regional societies located across the country.” It is also the governing body through which a counseling professional can become a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP). CENTER FOR GROUP STUDIES
CGS is a training program based in New York City that offers a “psychodynamically-oriented understanding and experience in working with groups wherever they occur.” Their training includes a weekend program that meets three times a year and leads to a Certificate in Modern Group Leadership. MASTERS OF GROUP THERAPY CLUB
Founded and facilitated by Jacob Winkler, MGTC meets on Zoom three days week to watch and analyze footage of demo process groups, discuss articles about group therapy, and talk about anything else group related.
